12th European Suzuki Children’s Convention – Registration Information

Registrations will open on August 1, 2025 at 12:00 PM (Istanbul time) and will close on December 1, 2025 at 7:00 PM.

We hope to see the entire Suzuki family together. However, please note that our capacity is limited.

All registrations will be accepted online only. If the number of applications exceeds the available quota, new applications will be placed on a waiting list and reviewed in the event of cancellations.


Registration Fees

The €250 registration fee covers participation in all educational activities planned for students and access to concerts for both students and their families.

Discounts for multiple students from the same family:

  • 5% discount for the second sibling
  • 10% discount for the third and subsequent siblings (if registered simultaneously)

Some concerts (excluding the Gala Concert) may have limited seating. Advance reservation may be required for these performances.


Observer Teachers

The €100 registration fee allows observer teachers to attend the training sessions led by the international teaching team and participate in the concerts.

A maximum number of observers will be set for each class based on room capacity. Observers are kindly asked not to overcrowd the sessions.

During registration, observer teachers may indicate their willingness to volunteer in musical and logistical activities.


Cancellation & Refund Policy

In case the event is cancelled due to a natural disaster, 90% of the registration fee will be refunded.

If a participant cancels before December 1, 2025, the fee will be refunded 90% by December 15, 2025 only if another participant from the waiting list in the same category replaces them.

A minimum number of participants is required for each instrument. If this number is not met, the related course will be cancelled and the fee will be fully refunded by December 15, 2025.


Participation Requirements

Only students who are affiliated with their national Suzuki™ associations or recognized as independent members by ESA are eligible to register.

I. General Information:
Definition of Terms:

Participant: Registered student and observer teacher.

Organizer: Suzuki Music Education Association (SMED).

ESA: European Suzuki Association.

Conference: Refers to the 12th European Suzuki Children’s Conference.

Organization: Refers to the events during the conference.

Scope: Applies to all students and teachers participating in the 12th conference.

Terms Date: Updated on 28 July 2025.

II. Registration and Reservation:
Reservation:

Two types: Student & Observer Teacher.

Applicant is responsible for any incorrect form data. SMED not liable.

Application Dates:

Start: 1 August 2025, 12:00 (Istanbul time)

End: 1 December 2025, 17:00 (Istanbul time)

Fees:

Students: 250 EUR

Sibling discounts: 5% for 2nd, 10% for 3rd and more.

Observer Teacher: 100 EUR

Includes training + all concerts in program.

Confirmation: Sent via e-mail after application.

Required Information:
Name, country, email, phone, Suzuki organization, teacher’s name/email, level, instrument, etc.

Data Use:
Personal data processed under Turkish Data Protection Law (KVKK 6698) for legitimate interest (promotion). Photos/videos may be shared by SMED within the stated purpose.

III. Payment:
Method: Credit card only.

Deadline: 1 October – 1 December 2025.

Late Fee:
Until 8 December 2025 with 10% penalty

Student: 275 EUR

Observer Teacher: 110 EUR

Payments after this date will not be accepted.

IV. Cancellation and Refunds:
If event is cancelled due to natural disaster: 90% refund.

If participant cancels:

Before 1 December 2025: 90% refund only if replaced from waitlist

Medical necessity (with proof) until 16 February 2025: 50% refund

Minimum instrument quota not met: Full refund by 15 December 2025.

V. During the Conference:
Accommodation: Self-arranged.

Supervision: Parents are responsible for children.

Conduct:
Respect for religion, language, race, gender, and rights is mandatory.
Disruption = warning, repeat = dismissal.
No commercial photo/video sharing.

No promotion or sales during event.

Food/Drink: Only water allowed in class. Smoking/alcohol prohibited at all events.

VI. Changes and Cancellation by Organizer:
Program/Class changes: Info will be emailed and announced on-site.

Cancellation by SMED (force majeure): Full refund within 1 month.
Examples: natural disasters, war, mobilization, pandemics, etc.

VII. Liability and Indemnification:
Organizer Liability: SMED responsible from start to end of program.

Venue:

Istanbul Atatürk Cultural Center

Insured against disasters/terror

Participants covered while inside venue

Participant Responsibilities:

Comply with staff/security rules.

No sharp/dangerous items allowed.

Damage = full responsibility (material/moral)

Health Insurance: Required to cover epidemic diseases (e.g., COVID-19), including 1 day before & after the event.

Visa Responsibility: Participants must check visa requirements if Turkish visa policy changes.
